For nearly 20 years, RC Andersen has helped clients navigate some of the most challenging industrial projects. Today, we’re bringing that same experience to the Southeast, where we’re building new relationships while applying lessons learned over two decades.
The biggest risks on many industrial projects aren’t visible on day one. Understanding site conditions early, whether it’s environmental remediation, poor soils, rock, groundwater or former landfills, helps avoid costly surprises later.
That’s been true throughout our history. From redeveloping a former Superfund landfill to transforming a seaport, every site required a different solution before construction could really begin.
Construction schedules rarely go exactly as planned. Tenant needs change. Municipal reviews take longer than expected. Occupied facilities still need to operate while construction moves around them.
We’ve seen it firsthand. From repositioning a printing facility, to occupied renovations and EV retrofits, to a recent life sciences manufacturing fit out, every project reinforced the same lesson: good communication keeps projects moving.
Twenty years ago, most people thought of industrial construction as “just a” warehouse.
It’s more than a warehouse – it includes temperature-controlled food distribution, robotics, advanced manufacturing, life sciences, aviation and mission critical facilities.
We’ve been fortunate to grow alongside that evolution. From cold storage facilities to e-commerce robotics-enabled fulfillment centers and manufacturing projects, every opportunity has expanded what industrial construction can be.
Some of our best opportunities haven’t come from new clients. They’ve come from clients who asked us to come back.
Over the years, we’ve supported owners through new developments, repositioning projects, tenant improvements and sustainable industrial spaces. Every project lays the groundwork for the next one, and that’s a responsibility we never take for granted.
